This 3800m2 property is a very versatile project, currently combining rural tourism with agriculture. The existing traditional madeiran house was extended in 2008 and converted into a bed & breakfast house. The license for rural tourism is part of the property, but can be terminated by request if the new owner considers using the property as a family house for full time living.

Featuring traditional stone walls, the refurbished part of the house acommodates the living & dining areas and an office to the east. In the living area, the old bread oven from the former kitchen is now merely decorative. This area has high ceilings which have the rustic appearance of wooden ceilings. The dining/breakfast area, entrance hall, and bedrooms in the upper floor all feature hand-worked ceilings.

The property is exquisitely furnished with antiques, which could be acquired separately. The kitchen, fully fitted and equipped in a traditional style, is to the rear. A laundry and a guest WC complete the acommodation on the ground floor.

The upper floor offers three spacious bedrooms, painted in a pale pink, with ensuite bathrooms. The bathrooms are very bright, featuring generously sized double-glazed windows. The master suite has a private balcony with panoramic views south facing the Atlantic ocean & the extensive surrounding land of the property.

The mature fruit trees invite you to participate in the farmer's daily routine, picking figs, mangos, avocados or bananas all year around. To water the 3400 m2 agricultural land, there is an automatic system using the available 'Levada' water, which is stored in an proper tank to guarantee irrigation all year around. Domestic hot water is guaranteed by solar panels.

To the west of the main house, the old cottage, also refurbished nine years ago, offers an extra bedroom on the top floor, with ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. The ground floor features a wine cellar and a storage room. There is an addicional building to store the agricultural supplies and tools.

There is a garage for two cars, with an automatic entrance gate, but plenty of overflow parking. The original plan included the construction of a swimming pool, which was not installed, but could easily be added if required.
